The Saskatoon Fire Department was called out to a house fire early Friday morning.
Crews arrived at 620 Avenue H South around 6 a.m., finding flames pouring out the back of the home.
The blaze appeared under control by 7:15 a.m., with crews checking for hot spots and investigators beginning to go over the house to try and figure out happened.
Neighbours at the scene told 650 CKOM that the house was vacant, with the tenants having moved out a few days ago. They also alleged that the home had been a source of drug activity, with some expressing concerns that firefighters were likely to encounter used needles as they worked.
As of 7:30 a.m., the Saskatoon Fire Department had no official word on if the blaze was suspicious, or on what might have caused it.
